I have a serious problem with finishing what I start. It isn’t usually a matter of if I will finish it, because I almost always do. But it is certainly a matter of when I finish it. I start projects and then get side tracked with something else and then a few months later I come back with a vengeance and get it done in a day or two. A good example would be this quilt that I bought the fabric for sometime last fall. Well, I finally got around to getting the rest of my top swen together, or at least the part that I have the fabric for (I never get boarder, backing, or binding fabric until all my squares are sewn together:)
All in all I am liking how it is turning out. Nothing to complicated. Just simple happiness. Now I am psyched to get it done so I can cuddle under it with the hubbs:) I am so excited to pick out the rest of my fabrics, but I’m not sure I really want to go back to the fabric store. When I was in there picking out my fabrics, the lady tried her darnedest to get me to just buy the quilt kit that they had available from the fabric line I was picking from. It was big and complicated (for someone like me who had only made two super easy baby quilts before this). I assured the lady that I wasn’t really a quilter, I just sew squares together. And she said, “oh this is just sewing squares together.” Haha, I think she is going to get a good laugh out of my quilt top when I bring it back in:P Anyways, I hope everyone had a happy and giggly weekend like me and if you think about it pray for one of my good friends. She is due in less than two weeks and we have been having some pretty nasty weather around here lately.

I did a quilt much like yours above, well I did every lil square except the border. Then I needed to recover my dining room chair seats…Yes you guessed it, I cut up the nearly made quilt and recovered the dining room chairs, and put a new touch to my dining room. Now I am making placemats and such to match! I need to stick to smaller projects I guess! Blessings Diana Adams

Great job on the quilt, Andrea! I love the fabrics you picked out. They are just my colors. The flannel blankets are so nice too. You are going to be a great quilter.

Can I tell you Andrea? That scripture you left in my comments got me through yesterday. It was beyond exactly what I needed to hear. So as I have left my bible open to Matthew to read and reread it, I have also had that song in my heart. Thank you.. it was seriously what I needed to focus on.
